Ventocore DL Tablet SR is a combination medicine used in the prevention of asthma. It relieves allergy symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes and congestion or stuffiness. It also helps in relaxing the muscles of the air passages, thus widening it and making it easier to breathe.
It is taken by mouth with food. But, its advisable to take it at the same time each day. In case you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to doctor. Before taking this medicine inform doctor if you are suffering from any kidney, liver or heart disease. Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood potassium levels. Inform your doctor if you notice muscle twitching or weakness, or an irregular heartbeat.
It may cause Nausea and headache as its side effects.
Pregnancy Interaction: Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ventocore DL Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Breast Feeding Interaction: Ventocore DL Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Acebrophylline, Desloratadine and Montelukast. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Desloratadine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose and improves your symptoms.
