Zix P belongs to a class of medicines called Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, also called as NSAIDs, help reduce fever, decrease pain, and prevent clotting of blood. NSAIDs also reduce inflammation in the body when used in higher doses.

Warnings: Taking more than the daily prescribed dose of Zix P Tablet 10's may cause liver damage or allergic reactions like swelling of the mouth, face, throat, difficulty in breathing, skin rash or itching. Most of the cases of liver injury are associated with the use of paracetamol. Gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcer formation is commonly observed with the use of Zix P Tablet 10's, so the doctor may prescribe you the lowest dose available. Do not take Zix P Tablet 10's if you have asthma or allergies to pain killers, heart, kidney and liver conditions. Zix P Tablet 10's should not be taken during pregnancy or by breastfeeding mothers as it may affect baby.

The following side-effects may commonly occur in older patients on the use of Zix P Tablet. Discuss with your doctor if any of these side-effects last for a long time or are severe:
stomach and intestinal rupture or bleeding
stomach ulcers
Rarely, the use of Zix P Tablet may cause the following side-effects:
abnormal dreams
abnormal sensation of the body
change in taste
cramps in the leg
face swelling
fatigue
feeling of discomfort
flushing
gas formation
headache
hot flush
increased weight
insomnia
palpitations
rash
ringing of ears
severe itching
stiffed neck
tremor
vertigo
The following severe side-effects may also occur when using Zix P Tablet:
Blood and lymphatic system disorders
Symptoms: decrease in granulocytes, low level of thrombocytes, low level of neutrophils a decrease in the number of red blood cells
Immune system disorders
Symptoms: severe allergic reactions
Metabolism and nutrition disorders
Symptoms: increased potassium level low blood glucose level
Mental disorders
Symptoms: depression
Nervous system disorders
Symptoms: sleepiness blood clot in an artery
Stomach and intestinal disorders
Symptoms: inflammation of stomach, mouth ulcer, constipation, stomach ulcer, inflammation of the pancreas, inflammation of mucous membrane, stomach and intestinal bleeding, blood vomiting vomiting
Liver disorder
Symptoms: inflammation of the liver liver damage
If an abnormality in liver function tests worsens or persists, liver disease signs develop or eosinophilia, the rash occurs, the patient should discontinue the drug. Monitoring of kidney and liver function should be done properly.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders
Symptoms: red or purple spots on the skin swelling of the lower layer of the skin
Kidney disorders
Symptoms: kidney failure, kidney damage inflamed spaces between the kidney tubules
Skin disorders
Symptoms: severe skin reactions sensitivity to light
Discontinuation should be done at the first appearance of skin rash, mucosal lesions, or any other sign of allergic reactions.

How to Store it: Store protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
Over Dose: Symptoms may include dizziness or light-headedness; fast or difficult breathing; feeling of being unusually cold; general feeling of being unwell; muscle pain or tenderness; slow or irregular heartbeat; unusual drowsiness; unusual stomach discomfort; unusual weakness or tiredness.
Precautions: Before you use Zix P, tell your doctor of your medical and health history including the following:

Missed Dose: In case you miss a dose, use it as soon as you notice. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your dosing schedule. Do not use extra dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are regularly missing doses, consider setting an alarm or asking a family member to remind you. Please consult your doctor to discuss changes in your dosing schedule or a new schedule to make up for missed doses, if you have missed too many doses recently.
