Atorfit CV 10 Capsule works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase and reduces triglycerides levels in the blood; inhibiting the adenosine diphosphate receptor on platelet cell membranes in order to inhibit platelet Activation and aggregation;

Warnings: Let your doctor know if are sensitive to Atorvastatin or clopidogrel, have any Active liver disease, Active bleeding issues (like peptic ulcer, brain haemorrhage), pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding. The patient should inform the doctor that they are taking Atorfit CV 10 Capsule 15's before any surgery is scheduled or any new medicine is taken. Atorvastatin present in Atorfit CV 10 Capsule 15's is a pregnancy category X drug, so it is contraindicated in pregnant women. As it may cause harm to the foetus if administered to pregnant women. The risk of muscle disease might increase if Atorfit CV 10 Capsule 15's is taken with an antibiotic (Clarinathromycin), anti-HIV drugs (ritonavir, lopinavir, darunavir, atazanavir, indinavir) and antifungal (itraconazole). Coadministration with anticoagulant like warfarin may cause gastric bleeding and other bleeding problems. So, if you are using any blood-thinning agents let your doctor know about this. Atorfit CV 10 Capsule 15's contains Atorvastatin which can cause muscle problems like myopathy and rhabdomyolysis. Patients with Active liver disease should use Atorfit CV 10 Capsule 15's with caution. Safety and effectiveness of Atorfit CV 10 Capsule 15's have not been established, so its use should be avoided in paediatric patients or children less than 10 years of age. Discontinuation of Atorfit CV 10 Capsule 15's may lead to the occurrence of cardiovascular events like heart attack, stroke and angina (heart-related chest pain). Hence, you should consult a doctor before stopping the dose of Atorfit CV 10 Capsule 15's.
Medicine Interaction: If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Atorfit CV 10 Capsule may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Atorfit CV 10 Capsule may interact with the following drugs and products: Antacids Aprepitant Azole antifungals Colchicine Cyclosporine Diltiazem Grapefruit Macrolide antibiotics Niacin Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
