Zady 500 Tablet is also used to treat severe cases of nasal congestion caused by sinusitis, to treat certain cases of pneumonia, to treat inflammation of the throat caused by bacterial infections, to treat certain bacterial skin infections, to treat inflammation of the urethra caused by bacterial infections, to treat inflammation of the cervix, to treat certain genital diseases in men, and to treat middle ear infections in children.

Zady is used to treat bacterial infections in many different parts of the body. It is also used to prevent Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) disease in patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Zady belongs to the class of drugs known as macrolide antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. However, Zady will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections. Zady Injection may be used for other problems as determined by your doctor.
Zady is available only with your doctor’s prescription.
Once a medicine has been approved for marketing for a certain use, experience may show that it is also useful for other medical problems. Although these uses are not included in product labeling, Zady is used in certain patients with the following medical condition:
Trachoma (treatment).

Warnings: Tell your doctor if you have liver problems (jaundice), muscle problem (myasthenia gravis), heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmia), electrolyte imbalance (low potassium or magnesium level). In rare case, the use of Zady-500 Tablet 5's can cause diarrhoea, so in case if you have watery or bloody diarrhoea, stop taking Zady-500 Tablet 5's and call your doctor. However, do not take any anti-diarrheal medicine until your doctor tells you. It is not known whether Zady-500 Tablet 5's harm the baby in pregnancy or not. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy or breastfeeding before using Zady-500 Tablet 5's. Do not take Zady-500 Tablet 5's if you are allergic to Zady-500 Tablet 5's or other macrolide antibiotics, using cholesterol-lowering drugs (statins like simvastatin, lovastatin etc.), anti-gout or anti-arthritis drugs (colchicine) and medicine for treating overActive bladder (tolterodine). Zady-500 Tablet 5's is not recommended for the patients with pneumonia who are judged to be inappropriate for oral therapy due to moderate to severe illness or risk factor.
Medicine Interaction: Zady-500 Tablet 5's have interactions with anti-Nausea pills (domperidone), mental health pills (pimozide, amisulpride), anti-migraine medicines (ergotamine, dihydroergotamine), anti-cholesterol pills (simvastatin), bladder weakness medicine (tolterodine) and anti-gout/arthritis medicine (colchicine). Taking these drugs with Zady-500 Tablet 5's may cause serious side effects.

Side Effects: Signs of an allergic reaction to Zady: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. In rare caSes, Zady may cause a severe skin reaction that can be fatal if it spreads to other parts of the body. Seek medical treatment if you have a new or worsening skin rash with fever, swollen glands, flu symptoms, or severe tingling or numbness. Call your doctor at once if you have: severe stomach pain, diarrhea that is watery or bloody, headache with chest pain and severe dizziness, fainting, fast or pounding heartbeats, liver problems - Nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tired feeling, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes) or severe skin reaction - fever, sore throat, swelling in your face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (especially in the face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling. Older adults may be more likely to have side effects on heart rhythm, including a life-threatening fast heart rate. Common Zady side effects may include: diarrhea, Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain or headache.
