Quicef 125mg Syrup is an antibiotic medication that is given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections associated with the ear, nose, throat, tonsils, lungs, and skin. It may also be recommended as a second line of treatment for urinary tract infections.
Quicef 125mg Syrup may be given with or without food. However, if your child develops a stomach upset, prefer giving it with food. It is usually given three times a day but this may vary depending on the type and severity of the infection. Stick to the dose, time, and way recommended by the doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medication, give the same dose again. Avoid giving a double dose if it is almost time for the next dose.
Quicef 125mg Syrup may cause some minor and temporary side effects such as vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and mild skin rash. These side effects usually go away once your child’s body adapts to the medication. However, if they persist or become bothersome for your child, report to the doctor immediately.
