Product Uses: Cefolac 100 Syrup is used to treat certain bacterial infections including urinary tract infections, ear infections, throat infections including pharyngitis and tonsillitis, and sexually transmitted infections, such as, gonorrhea, that are affecting the urethra and rectum. It is a prescription medicine. Cefolac 100 is also used to treat worsening symptoms of severe cases of bronchitis.

Cefolac 100mg Syrup 30ml belongs to the therapeutic classification of Cephalosporins. The primary composition for this medicine is Cefixime 100 MG /5ML.

Warnings: Do not take Cefolac 100 Suspension 30 ml if you are allergic to Cefolac 100 Suspension 30 ml or other macrolide antibiotics. Hypersensitivity reactions including shock and fatalities have been reported with Cefolac 100 Suspension 30 ml. Discontinue use if there is a reaction and reach out to your doctor immediately. Tell your doctor if you have liver problems (jaundice), muscle problem (myasthenia gravis), heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmia), electrolyte imbalance (low potassium or magnesium level). In rare case, use of Cefolac 100 Suspension 30 ml can cause diarrhoea, so in case if you have watery or bloody diarrhoea, stop taking Cefolac 100 Suspension 30 ml and call your doctor. However, do not take any anti-diarrheal medicine until your doctor tells you. It is not known whether Cefolac 100 Suspension 30 ml harms the baby in pregnancy or not. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy or breastfeeding before using Cefolac 100 Suspension 30 ml.
Medicine Interaction: Cefolac 100 Suspension 30 ml may reduce the Activity of the vaccines including cholera vaccine, live, typhoid vaccine, live and Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (is used in a solution to stimulate the immune system in the treatment of bladder cancer and as a vaccine to prevent tuberculosis). To ensure adequate vaccine response, you should not receive any above-mentioned vaccine, until at least 14 days after you complete your antibiotic therapy. Cefolac 100 Suspension 30 ml can occasionally cause kidney problems, and using it with furosemide may increase that risk.

Side Effects: Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. - Loose stools (diarrhea). Yogurt or probiotics may help. You may get these products at health food stores or in some pharmacies. - For women, vaginal yeast infection. Report itching or discharge.
