It is dynamic against Gram-negative as well as Gram-positive microscopic organisms including Anaerobic cocci, Bacteroides spp., Enterobacter spp., E. coli, H. influenzae, M. catarrhalis, M. morganii, Serratia spp., S. aureus, S. pneumoniae, S. pyogenes. It comes as an intravenous infusion.
