Product Uses: Cepodem DT Tablet is used to treat certain mild to moderate bacterial infections. These include middle ear, throat, skin infections, anus and rectum infections in the women, urinary tract infections, community-acquired pneumonia, sexually transmitted bacterial infection of the urethra and cervix. Cepodem DT is also used to treat inflammation of the sinuses (acute maxillary sinusitis). It is also used to treat lower respiratory tract infections such as long-term inflammation of the lungs (also called, long-term bronchitis). This medicine works by preventing the formation of an outer layer of the bacteria. This medicine helps by killing the bacteria and removing a bacterial infection from the body.

Warnings: Do not take Cepodem DT 100 mg Tablet 10's if you are allergic to cefpodoxime or any antibiotics. Taking antibiotics of own or practising self-medication may lead to antibiotic resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. Before taking Cepodem DT 100 mg Tablet 10's, let your doctor know if you have/had inflammation in bowel, kidney or liver problems. Do not take antacids and anti-ulcer medicines along with Cepodem DT 100 mg Tablet 10's and maintain a gap of 2-3 hours between both to avoid any drug interaction. Consult a doctor before taking Cepodem DT 100 mg Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Cepodem DT 100 mg Tablet 10's to prevent unpleasant side effects. Cepodem DT 100 mg Tablet 10's may cause dizziness, so be cautious while driving.
Medicine Interaction: Cepodem DT 100 mg Tablet 10's may have interaction with furosemide (used to treat oedema), warfarin (used to prevent blood clotting), calcium/vitamin D (multimineral for bones), sodium bicarbonate, aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, cimetidine, ranitidine and loratadine (used to treat ulcer and acidity), and probenecid (used to treat excess uric acid).

Side Effects: Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Loose stools (diarrhea). Yogurt or probiotics may help. You may get these products at health food stores or in some pharmacies. - For women, vaginal yeast infection. Report itching or discharge.
